It was only a matter of time after Youtube was bought out by Google. I read about this in the Washington Post this weekend. They were careful to not say anything about just how this revenue sharing will look like. However, the mention of Revver in the release maybe some indication that they are thinking along the same lines.
Surprising that they would considering the struggles the little video provider that would have gone through in gaining some kind of significant market share in the video world.
Maybe it was mentioned as a round about way of pegging just who they intend to crush. 
Either way, I wonder if YouTube will be ready for what they are in for. I have been around long enough to know the impact that revenue opportunity has online.
Now that I think about it a little more, I am more of the belief this announcement may have been a way to ease Google shareholders concerns over the $1.65 billion price tag they paid into a business model that has not even shown a profit. It’s been several months since the landmark purchase that gave some analysts the concern that we are witnessing a new generation of investment that has not existed since the Internet Bubble Burst back in 2001. This announcement allows investors to be excited about the purchase again, and help Google stock rise again.
You know the old saying, follow the money trail. In this case, I think in this case I hit the nail on the head.
My guess is it will be some time until we actually see a program come out. I certainly hope we don’t see another PPC in the same fashion Google has been doing for so long. Adsense for YouTube would certainly attract publishers again. Though I am sure Google will manage to pull a one-two switch on everyone and change the rules around to the point where publishers will once again be left in the dust, while Google’s money coffers explode.

I heard this poem many years ago, and it stuck in my head. When the topic of success comes up, I will often quote it. The reaction I get from most is rather emotional. It touches on a truth that is often buried and ignored. Perhaps because so many realize in these words that they themselves have been failures, or they have had their priorities all wrong. Either way, I consider this poem to be the standard by which I judge my own success. I don’t know who wrote it, so I cannot say where it came from.
You can use most any measure when speaking of success
You can measure in a fancy home, expensive car, or dress
But the real success in life that matters is one you cannot spend
It’s the way your child describes you when talking to a friend.

I believe there are certain forces in this world. Many would like to regard them in the embodiment of entities. Others have a little more of a grasp as to the conceptual reality of these forces. Today I thought on some of the things I see going on with some people I know, and it reminded me of how the forces of evil are operating very well in the lives of many without them even knowing it.
What is the force of evil? To me, it would be that which stops, thwarts, disrupts, destroys, or slows down those from excelling, progressing, growing, and becoming more than what they are. This is one sense of the meaning.
Many look at single acts and identify them as evil. Others look at a persons character and say ‘that is an evil man’. I think that the evil in the world is much closer to home though.
Everyone, at some point or another, have bowed down to this evil force. It is not a big red devilish looking figure that is so easy to spot. God doesn’t operate that way, why should evil?
Remember when you had a dream? You know what I am talking about. There was something special you wanted to do. Something that was just a little out of reach, but if you just worked a little harder, and put in more effort, you could certainly achieve it and all the joys and benefits that came with it.
You started out all well and good. You were excited and told everyone about it. You thought on it day and night over and over and over again. It was the most awesome thing in the world and every fiber of your being wanted to accomplish it.
The forces of evil didn’t try to stop you. They agreed with you. They said “Oh yes, that is a fantastic dream! It would be great for you to do that! You will help sooo many people! You will be loved by so many! You will always be remembered!” … and then… “But what makes you think, YOU can do it?”
“Don’t you remember the time you try this? Remember the time you did that and failed. Remember what your boss, mother, dad, girlfriend, or boyfriend said about you? You are totally right, this dream is fantastic, and it would be great. You just don’t have what it takes to achieve it.”
The excitement fades. As thoughts of your history of failures take over, and your lowly state becomes the standard, that dream as great as it was, is gone. It will never happen. Evil has won.
I hear this, and I see this all the time. I do consulting for clients, and I hear so many great ideas, all prompted by various dreams and desires to accomplish things that are good. No matter how much I might encourage them, the forces they have within themselves to thwart the realization of their dreams are far more powerful.
Do not think a little demon is going to stop you. The forces are much to smart for that. They will agree with you, and then redirect you to all the failures in your life to keep you from accomplishing those dreams. The more the forces of evil keep people from accomplishing, the longer they can keep all of humanity for seeing, and realizing our own greatness.

God is always on your side. Wants to see you stretch. Wants you to overcome in all your obstacle and struggles. Don’t cry over things being difficult, anything worth having is meant to be difficult. Things received easily are of little value.

Be strong. Don’t give up. Those voices of doubt, that history of failure. It is all there to test just how worthy you believe you are of achieving your dreams. God has deemed you worthy. Anything you can dream is possible. If it was given to you, it can be delivered. It is up to you to start believing in Him though. He can only show you the way, it is up to you to walk the path.
Good and evil are forces at work within us all the time. I just hope sharing this with you may ward off some of that evil that has kept you back from really shining and charging into battle to fight for your dream, to fight for whats right and good.

As I have said for years, happiness is a state of mind. God has given us the power of choice and it is with that power that you can choose happiness, worry or fear. That is why there is a phrase in the Bible that says, Choose ye this day whom ye will serve. You have the freedom to choose happiness. This may appear extraordinarily simple to you, and guess what, it is. This is largely the reason why soooo many fall short on their way to happiness; they don’t see the simplicity of the key to happiness. The things in life that are great are simple, dynamic, and creative. They are that which produce well-being and happiness in all of us.
St. Paul revealed the formula on how you can think your way into a life of dynamic power and continual happiness in these words:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
 (King James Bible, Philippians 4:8)

Why Choose Unhappiness?!
Believe it or not, many choose unhappiness without realizing that they are doing so. This is done by entertaining thoughts and ideas like the following:
If this is where your head is at when you start your day, you will most certainly attract ALL these experiences to you, and congratulations, you accomplished being unhappy. Takes effort.
You must realize that the world you live in is really determined largely by what goes on in your mind. Marcus Aurelius, the great Roman philosopher and sage, said,
A man’s life is what his thoughts make of it.
The leading American philosopher of the nineteenth century, Ralph Waldo Emerson, said,
A man is what he thinks all day long.
The very thoughts that you have a habit of entertaining in your head continually have a STRONG tendency to actualize themselves into physical conditions.
The solution… STOP IT! Just STOP indulging in negative, defeatist, unkind, or depressing thoughts. Keep at the forefront of your thinking the truth that you can experience nothing outside your own mentality.
There are no blocks to your happiness save in your own thought life and mental imagery. Are fear or worry holding you back from something? Fear is nothing more than a thought in your mind. You can dig it up in this very moment by supplanting it with FAITH in success, achievement, and victory over all problems.
The happiest person is the one who constantly brings forth in the way of actions what is best in him or herself. Happiness is a complement to virtue. The best and happiest are masters in the art of living. God is the highest, and the greatest power in you. Express more of God’s love, light, glory, truth, and beauty, and you will become one of the happiest in the world. Have trouble believing this? At the risk of sounding like I am tooting my own horn, I can tell you first hand that I have been characterized by many people as the happiest guy they know. It’s not a front, I am not trying to fool anybody. I am just this way because I practice exactly what I am sharing with you here. As I am trying to illustrate, there is nothing special, or difficult about this. It is simply an exercise of your God given freedom of choose happiness over unhappiness. To end off, you can take the words of Epictetus, the Greek Stonic philospher to heart and start on the path of happiness NOW:
ThoughtsThese is but one way to tranquility of mind and happiness; let this, therefore, be always ready at hand with thee, both when thou wakest early in the morning, and all the day long, and when thou goest late to sleep, to account no external things thine own, but commit all these to God.

The following story was brought to my attention the other day. This guy was real scum… check out the stuff this guy pulled off! I love how Myspace and other companies love to make examples of these big hitters. Well, I am relatively certain this guy will get a slap on the hand and told not to come around anymore. Once it is done, he will look at the ending judgement and see what they missed that he can start exploiting again. My prediction.

World’s Leading Lifestyle Portal Files Suit Against Scott Richter And Others For Violations Of State And Federal Laws
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–MySpace.com, the world’s leading lifestyle portal, announced today that it filed suit against Scott Richter, for violations of state and federal laws including the CAN-SPAM Act and California’s anti-spam statute. The suit, filed in United States District Court in Los Angeles on Friday, seeks a permanent injunction barring Richter and his affiliated companies from the MySpace site in addition to unspecified monetary damages.

MySpace alleges in the suit that between July and December 2006, Richter and his associates arranged for millions of spam “bulletins” to be sent from MySpace users’ accounts without their knowledge. According to the lawsuit, Richter either phished MySpace accounts himself or acquired a list of phished accounts to launch spam campaigns. The campaigns promote websites offering products and services such as ringtones and polo shirts, according to MySpace’s filing.“We’re committed to protecting our community from phishing and spam,” said Hemanshu Nigam, Chief Security Officer for MySpace. “If it takes filing a federal suit to stop someone who violates the law and damages our members’ experience, then that’s what we’ll do.”
Richter previously has been sued by Microsoft and then-New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer. According to Microsoft, Richter agreed in a post-judgment settlement to pay $7 million and to make “fundamental changes” in his email practices. According to Spitzer’s office, Richter settled that case for both monetary damages and specific changes in his e-mail campaigns.
MySpace’s suit against Richter is the latest in a series of aggressive steps MySpace has taken over the last two years to combat spam, phishing and other abusive misuse of the MySpace site. MySpace’s successes in this area include:
Securing a favorable settlement in a federal suit against a distributor of an authorized bot that facilitated spamming on the site;
Obtaining a settlement including injunctive relief and the payment of monetary damages in another federal suit against the sponsor of an affiliate program that was promoted by spammers;
Filing a multi-million dollar suit against TGLO/The Globe for spamming MySpace users and violating the MySpace terms of use agreement;
Assisting law enforcement in taking criminal action against Samy (aka “Samy Is My Hero”) and the operators of “MySpace Plus” for alleged criminal activity related to spam, unauthorized bots and/or phishing on the site.
