I have been told that I am myself and Internet Marketer, though I have never really identified myself as such. Regardless, I do have to do my fair share of marketing being in business. It seems to be something I am good at, and many regard me as a kind of guru in the field, so that’s fine. I have, like many others, look at the proclaimed ‘gurus’ of Internet Marketing and have purchased some of their materials. While some of what they teach follows the same typical principles that I am familiar with, some of it goes a step further and just teaches others how to lie. Reminds me of the bad salesman in the bad suit like the character you see here. 
I don’t know ‘all’ the gurus, but I get the emails like everyone else, and look them over from time to time to see if they have changed their ways at all. The HYPE that goes into their emails I get really give me a sense of desperation often times. Like they really desperately need me to checkout what it is they are peddling. Could it be that after years of lying to everyone over and over again with made up stories of “I was just talking to my friend such and such…” has finally taken its toll, and the gravy-train is ending for them?
I am not going to name names in this write-up, but I will share my experience with one particular marketer who actually built a website application that has default settings with a full write-up email that gets sent out to visitors with a lie. It will email those that did not take your one time offer and claim that there was a system glitch, and so you are emailing them because of this glitch that was ‘discovered’ that day. While I understand that yes, this sounds believable, and yes, it will get the people accepting of the story and so will likely take action, I don’t agree with the outright false claim. I use this program, but I have to go through it and change these defaults to read something that is true, and will not lie to my customers who come to my sites.
Some of the techniques that are taught by gurus are really fantastic, and I incorporate many of them into my own marketing efforts, often time without even knowing that they are teaching the same things. My clients sometimes point out things I am doing are taught by someone else I never even heard of. The big difference though is if you are going to tell a story, at least make it honest and true. Don’t outright fabricate something that you know is a lie. I know you need to captivate your audience. I know you need to engage and produce an emotional response. But, what do you think the emotional response will be when they later realize that you just make these stories up and they have no way of knowing when you are telling the truth, or spinning another marketing story? The response will be what you deserve, which is lower and lower conversions from your mailing lists.
I know that when it comes to Internet Marketing you have to pull out all the stops sometimes to finally get the sale/conversion, however, you can do it without treating your visitors like idiots and thinking you can hide beyond the thin veil of the keyboard and screen. When it comes to what I do in my marketing I will go to the edge at times and emphasize certain things within my adcopy while not giving as much to others so that I can get my message across with the same effectiveness (my average is around a 50% conversion on my adcopy/promotions), but I do it without the unnecessary hype that gives a simple product more value than it has. Be honest with your visitors and give them the answers they are seeking and you will get the results you want without having to taint your name.
I believe the Internet Marketer in the coming years is going to have to start understanding the value of their names in a new light if they are to survive. I think too many of them have gotten to used to making the quick buck with the made up stories and trickery tactics. Thinking that if they continue to duplicate these types of methods, they will keep doing well. A few years back they could pull this off, but not anymore. Not with the networks of blogs and more and more social networks enabling people to find more information about the status and value of these marketers names. I guess the only saying goes:
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Maybe we will see a shake down in the industry and we will find the cream will rise to the top, and will stay there, while the rest of them who have no trouble pulling fast ones on people will just keep seeing their efforts to market get harder and harder without realizing that it is because they have gone against the universal laws of success. Don’t let the temporary success of someone fool you, or allow you to compromise on your own integrity thinking that is what you have to do to be successful. The real successes in the long run are the ones that keep stay in line with the laws of success consistently. The universe will reward you, so long as you stay on course, and serve others with honest, integrity and character. These are things that make you a great person, a great Internet Marketer, and a great success. Given the climate of today’s Internet Marketing industry, I would say that these are the things that are in highest demand today from consumers. There is a Chinese Proverb I once heard some years ago that I keep at the forefront of my mind when ever I think about what I am doing in my business dealings:

Do you really think God has singled you out for punishment? There are no favourites in life. God of course is life, and that life flows through all things, including yourself. God expresses Himself through you in harmony, peace, and all things good. You can call it what you like, but this is what is often understood as the will of God, or the life force.
When you resist this life force, or the will of God in your mind, it is like blocking a flowing stream of life. The chaos and the unhappiness in the world has nothing to do with God. These all come from our own negative and self destructive thoughts. So if you think God has anything to do with your unhappiness, think again. Your sickness and troubled mind was brought on by you alone.
It becomes a habit for most people to blaming all the woes of the world on God out of a misplaced anger, and the belief that He is somehow the One that should be responsible for their misery. Unfortunately as long as you keep up this negative concept of God, you are only continually hurting yourself.
You are Forgiven Under All Conditions
Forgiveness is as abundant as the universe itself. Look at how often your very own body has been forgiven. You bruise it and cut it, and it is forgiven and restored. Life is abundant and does not hold anyone in contempt. It will always forgive you by bringing you back into a healthy and vital state, so long as you cooperate and think with harmony and peace. When you keep the junk that is cluttering up the flow, all those hurtful memories, the bitterness for your life, or the ill will of others, you are simply blocking the free flow of abundant forgiveness that is within you.
How Does Lack of Forgiveness Manifest Itself
Many people are suffering from a lack of forgiveness in their lives. The odds are, you already know someone personally who needs to recognize that they need forgiveness in their lives. They will do things that cause them great distress. They will say they have to work harder, or they don’t have time for fun, when really, they believe they don’t deserve these things because of something in their mind that tells them that they are wrong and should continue to be punished. They are only punishing themselves with their thoughts; God is not doing anything to them.
How can a murderer ever be forgiven for what he or she has done? The need to realize that the transgressions they committed in the past, were those of a person in the past. Scientifically speaking, we know that every eleven months, every single cell of our body is replaced. If there has been a transformation of mind, then the person who committed those acts are dead in spirit. To keep on condemning yourself is only condemning an innocent person. There is a wonderful truth in the Bible that illustrates this:
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
(King James Bible, 1:18 Isaiah)
Misused Concept of Punishment
If you misuse the laws of life, you will suffer the consequences. Electricity can be used to turn on a light, it can also be touched and kill you. Your ignorance of the forces of life does not stop them from acting on you. These forces are not evil, it is how they are used that determines if they have an effect that is good or evil. Only the sin of ignorance of the law comes with the automatic reaction of people’s misuse of the law.
Miseuse chemistry, you can blow your house up. Hit a board with your hand, and you may start bleeding. Was it the boards fault? Of course not, it was the misuse of the board that is at fault.
Forgiveness means putting your thoughts in live with divine order, and harmony. Self-condemnation is called hell (to be bound, restricted); forgiveness is called heaven (harmony and peace).
Healing Comes From Forgiveness
You must forgive others in order to have mental peace and good health. You can come up with many reasons that you most certainly will justify in one way or another, but when it comes down to it, none of that will bring you in harmony with the will of God. Forgiving yourself is done by bringing your thoughts into order with divine will. The forgiveness of ones self usually is refused only when they are basically ignorant of the principle, or have too much spiritual pride to accomplish it.

The Step by Step to Forgiveness
Forgiveness can be a simple thing, so keep it that way. Remember that God teaches us that faith cometh by hearing, therefore, in order to receive forgiveness into your mind, you must speak to it, and hear yourself forgive yourself. This is done by affirmations. Allow yourself to get into a quiet and meditative state that is completely relaxed and detached from everything. Focus all of your mind on God, and His love for you as you speak these words:
I completely forgive [the offenders name]. I have released him/her both in mind and body. I fully forgive everything related with the matter. I am free, and he/she is free. It feels wonderful.
Today is my day. I now release everyone who has ever hurt me, and I pray for each of them to receive peace, love, happiness, good health, and all of life blessings. I am in complete joy, love, and freedom doing this. When I think of those who hurt me, I will say “I have released you, and wish you all the blessings of life” and will continue free. The love I feel is wonderful!
This does not need to be repeated often. Just go through all your thoughts and speak it. If those matters or people should come to mind again, all you say is, “Peace be unto you.” As you continue in this manner, the situation or person that once caused you so much pain, will surely fade into nothingness.
Basic of Forgiveness to Remember
Once you understand forgiveness is available to you, that nobody else can affect your happiness, that you do not have to oppose and fight others for a living, then you can bring yourself closer into harmony with divine order. All these ideas are destructive in nature, and it is clearly stated in the Bible what happens with these types of thoughts and how self destructive they are to you. Remember that thoughts are things.

A simple question that I think most would give various definitions to. However, I believe emotional maturity really comes from the realization that nothing anybody else does or says can really annoy or irritate you unless and until you give them permission to. There is only one way a person can disturb you, and that is through your own thoughts. Getting angry about something requires you to go through four stages in your mind that are pretty commonly understood by most who are students of mind processes.
First, you start out by thinking about what was said.
Second, you decide to get angry.
Third, generate emotions associated with that anger, usually in the form of rage.
Four, decide to act either in the form of talking back, or perhaps in the form of action.
See how much work it takes? Your thought, generated emotion, reacted, and took action all within your very own mind, nothing else.
So what does it mean to be emotionally mature? Simply to not be childish and react in a natural manner which tends to be negative in a resentful or critical manner of others. No one likes it, but we are all belittled or criticized in some form of another from time to time. When this happens however, we have the ability to choose how we are going to react when this happens. If you are mature, you refrain from responding in a similar level. Do not permit any kind of person, place, or thing to detract you from your inner sense of peace and health.
So now you have read this and maybe you are thinking, ‘Uh oh, this is me… can I change this?’. The answer is YES, emotional maturity isn’t that hard to come to. It calls for consistent action in prayer. Read the following prayer each day. Visualize all of your relations with others being in a peaceful and harmonious manner. See what you want to happen actually happening in your mind. As you think, so shall it be. Speak the following words daily with conviction and belief:
I think, speak, and act lovingly, quietly, and peacefully. I now radiate love, peace, tolerance, and kindliness to all those who criticized me and gossiped about me. I anchor my thoughts on peace, harmony, and goodwill to all.
Whenever I am about o react negatively, I say firmly to myself, “I think, speak, and act from the standpoint of the principle of harmony, health, and peace within myself.”
God leads, rules, and guides me in all my ways.

46 nations are backing a body of efforts save us from ourselves. It looks like the soon to leave prime minister of France who has had a dismal track record in office wants to leave in a big bang of accomplishment so he doesn’t go down in history as yet another pathetic politician who did nothing but be various special interests groups personal hand puppet.
What is striking about this big deal is that out of all the countries of the world, the largest producers of pollution, USA, China, and India, are not interested in joining forces with the rest of the nations. While I do not know all the details of this new initiative, I have to wonder just what it is about this new effort that the big boys don’t like.
It seems everyone needed ‘proof’ from the world wide team of scientists to tell them that there is in fact a problem. How much more proof do you need than to just look at the climeractic events that have taken place over the last half decade? I don’t know enough about the new deal, but I certainly hope it is nothing like the Kyoto Protocol which was nothing more than a toothless tiger that was really just an elaborate money grab scheme to punish rich countries and funnel money into 3rd world countries. It effectively did NOTHING for the environment. Even if the targets are met, it would not even make a dent in the whole problem.
So how is this going to be different? Maybe the governments of the world cannot address social and economic issues, so aiming at the environment is a safe target for winning favour in the hearts and minds of the public body.
There is good news from the scientists though. We are NOT screwed!! YAY! We can still making it out of this without growing a 3rd lung and Teflon skin. However, it does mean taking major action NOW. Not 50 years from now like the Kyoto calls for. NOW NOW. The only thing governments have ever been able to do in a fast action is go to war. Everything else is debated endlessly as political officials get passed around from group to group playing hand puppets to their financial supporters. The issue is only a platform for that money to get back to them and their supporters some how.
Frankly I don’t believe any kinds of government efforts are going to be what really solves this. I believe the solution is at the grassroots. It comes back to simply making the environment and its product supporters something that sells. There are some small upstarts that just don’t have the financial backing to do what it takes to reach the larger markets the way they need to. To break into the major distribution channels and really change the way things happen. There is no doubt we have already developed enough technology to make it all work. It’s just a matter of getting either someone like me, or others like me, who have major financial resources to package, process, distribute, and market these things so that it is no longer about the dollars spent but the profits earned from the whole transaction. Oh yeah, and of course to either buy or bypass the hand puppets which influence those channels of distribution and media control. Gee… good thing I am an Internet master that could reach the masses with or without the media’s help. … Maybe these environmental solution companies need to hire someone like me to help get their message out there. TOOT TOOT (its confidence, not arrogance, back off :))
I welcome all other marketing ‘gurus’ to join me here in formulating ideas how this type of effort could become the next ‘hot’ product you could be promoting.

Regardless, I do hope in the future my business dealings allow me to contribute to this what I consider the greatest business undertaking in history, the business of saving the world.
