HA! I TOLD YOU SO!
Being a bit of a sun worshipper who loves to get a nice bronze glow, I get razzed plenty from the less informed media drones who like to tell me that I am going to get skin cancer from tanning. I have always scoffed (quietly to myself) at these remarks because quite frankly it sounded ridiculous to me. In an age where people are indoors, locked away in their little cubicles or office buildings, the rate of cancer is skyrocketing. It has nothing to do with exposure. How in the world did we evolve the last several thousand years without sun tanning lotion and being indoors all the time without dying from skin cancer like everyone claims? Silly I tell you.
There has been more scientific research done on what I already knew that has confirmed that tanning won’t make you get skin cancer, it will actually prevent even other form of cancer from developing! This has prompted the Canadian Cancer Society to advise Canadians to either get tanning, or start getting ore Vitamin D. Your body naturally produces Vitamin D from being in the sun. Many people are deficient from being indoors all the time and not getting enough sun. These are the ones that are getting the cancer, not the sun tanners. Obviously naturally occurring Vitamin D is much better than the synthetic variety, however, if you have too many excuses for not getting enough sun in your life, than you best stock up on your Vitamin D in your diet.
So for all you fellow sun tanners out there, tell your uneducated friends about this. It may just save their lives.

Little did I know I am named after apples as well. :)The Jonathan apple is a medium-sized apple, sweet and full of acidity, with a tough but smooth skin. It is closely related to the Esopus Spitzenburg apple.
It originated in 1826 from farm of Philip Rick in Woodstock, Ulster County, New York. Believed to be an Esopus Spitzenburg seedling. Described 1826. Although it may have originally been called the “Rick apple,” it was soon renamed by Judge Buel, President of Albany Horticultural Society, after Jonathan Hasbrouck, who discovered the apple and brought it to Buel’s attention.

I saw my chiropractor today about my neck. A few snap crackle and pops later, and I am feeling MUCH better. I was quite surprised how quickly all the soreness went away. From now on I am going to make sure I get in to see him at least every month. With the way I work over the computer 16 hours a day, I really need to take better care of my body. Health and wellness was my goal last year and I did really good. Best not to let it slip now.
Speaking of, now that the flu is gone, and now my neck is back in order, it’s time to hit the weights :). I can hardly wait to get back into training. It seems like it’s been too long since I really was into the training. Will be good to get back.

If you do not see a chiropractor I highly recommend you do. They are not just if you have back problems. Keeping your spine in good health keeps your whole body in health. Your entire nervous system runs down your spin. When you have small what are called Vertebral Subluxation, it can cause the communication between your brain and parts of your body to essentially lose the signal. When that happens, you can have all kinds of problems with your internal organs, with pain in various places of your body, or even breathing issues.
Think of your spin as a flowing stream of water. As you go through life, you have various damaging movements, emotions, and thoughts that act like the ‘gunk’ you see that collects on the banks of a flowing stream. They build up over time. Eventually you get some parts of that flowing stream with little blockages that cause the flow of water to either slow down, or even cut it off all together. By going to see a chiropractor, all he is doing is assisting to break down these blockages and allow your spine to replenish itself into working order.
That’s the simple breakdown of how I like to explain the benefits of chiropractics. Perhaps it’s time you looked into visiting one as well.

Microwave cooking ovens were originally researched and developed by German scientists to support mobile operations during the invasion of the Soviet Union. Had they perfected electronic equipment to prepare meals on a mass scale, the Nazis could have eliminated the logistical problems connected with cooking fuels while producing edible products in far less time than they could using traditional campfires.
After the war, the allies discovered the medical research and documentation concerning these apparatuses. The papers and experimental microwave equipment were transferred to the U.S. War Department and classified for reference and scientific investigation. The Soviet Union also retrieved some of the devices and began to experiment on them separately.
The Russians – who have done the most diligent research into the biological effects of microwave ovens – have outlawed their use and issued an international warning about the biological and environmental damage that can result from the use of this and similar-frequency electronic apparatus.
MEDICAL RESEARCH SUMMARY
The most significant German research concerned with the biological effects of microwaves was done at the Humboldt Universitat zu Berlin in 1942-43, during the Barbarossa military campaign. Beginning in 1957 and continuing up to the present, Russian studies in the field have been conducted at the Institute of Radio Technology.
In most research, the foods were exposed to microwave propagation at an energy potential of 100 kilowatts per cubic centimeter per second to the point considered acceptable for sanitary normal ingestion.
The observations made by the German and Russian microwave researchers will be presented here in three categories: cancer-causing effects, destruction of nutritive value and biological effects of direct exposure of humans to microwave emissions.
The following effects have been observed when foods are subjected to microwave emissions.
Effects on the foods themselves:
Meats: Heating prepared meats sufficiently to insure sanitary ingestion creates d-nitrosodiethanolamine, a well-known cancer-causing agent.
Proteins: Active-protein, bimolecular compounds are destabilized.
Increase in Radioactivity: A “binding effect” between the microwaved food and any atmospheric radioactivity is created, causing a marked increase in the amount of alpha and beta particle saturation in the food.
Milk and Cereals: Cancer-causing agents are created in the protein-hydrolysate compounds in milk and cereal grains.
Frozen Foods: Microwaves used to thaw frozen foods alter the catabolism (breakdown) of the glucoside and galactoside elements (1).
Vegetables: Even extremely brief exposure of raw, cooked or frozen vegetables to microwaves alter alkaloid (2) catabolism.
Resulting effects on the human body
Digestive System: The unstable catabolism of microwaved foods alters their elemental food substances, causing disorders in the digestive system.
Lymphatic Systems: Due to chemical alterations within food substances, malfunctions occur in the lymphatic system, causing a degeneration of the body’s ability to protect itself against certain forms of neoplastics (cancerous growths).
Blood: A higher-than normal percentage of cancerous cells in blood serum (cytomas) can be seen in subjects ingesting microwaved foods.
Their residual magnetism effect can render the psycho neural-receptor components of the brain more subject to influence by artificially induced, mocrowave-radio-frequency fields from transmission stations and TV relay networks.
Free Radicals: Certain trace-mineral molecular formations in plant substances – in particular, raw-root vegetables – form cancer-causing free radicals.
Increased Incidence of Stomach and Intestinal Cancers: A statistically higher percentage of cancerous growths result in these organs, plus a generalized breakdown of the peripheral cellular tissues and a gradual degeneration of digestive and excretory functions.
Microwave exposure caused significant decreases in the nutritive value of all foods studied. The following are the most important finds to date.
Vitamins and Minerals made Useless: In every food tested, the bioavailability (3) of the following vital nutrients decreased: Vitamin B complex, vitamins C and E, essential minerals and lipotropics.
Vital-Energy Fields Devastated: The vital-energy-field content of all tested foods dropped 60 to 90 percent.
Digestibility of Fruits and Vegetables Reduced: Microwaving lowers the metabolic behaviour and integration-process capability of alkaloids, glucosides, alactosides and nitrilosides (4).
Meat Proteins Worthless: It destroys the nutritive value of nucleoproteins (5) in meats.
All Foods Damaged: It greatly accelerates the structural disintegration of all foods tested.
BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF MICROWAVES
Exposure to microwave emissions also has a negative effect upon the general biological welfare of humans. This was not discovered until the Russians experimented with highly sophisticated equipment and discovered that humans can be adversely affected without even ingesting the foods that have been subjected to microwave radiation. Merely entering the energy field of the food causes such harmful side effects that the Soviets outlawed all such microwave apparatus in 1976.
Here are the effects observed in humans having “direct” exposure to microwaves, that is, without their having consumed the irradiated food substances-
Life-energy Field Breakdown: Persons near microwave ovens in operation experience a breakdown in their life-energy fields which increases relative to the length of exposure.
Cellular Energy Decreases: The cellular-voltage parallels of individuals using the apparatus degenerate – especially in their blood and lymphatic serums.
Destabilized Metabolism: The external-energy activated potentials of food utilization are both destabilized and degenerated.
Cell Damage: Internal cellular-membrane potentials during catabolic processes into the blood serum from the digestive process degenerate and destabilize.
Brain Circuitry Destruction: Electrical impulses in the junction potentials of the cerebrum degenerate and break down.
Nervous System: Nerve/electrical circuits degenerate and break down while energy-field symmetry is lost in the neuro-plexuses (nerve centers) in both the front and rear of the central and autonomic nervous systems.
Loss of Bioelectric Strength: The bioelectric strengths within the ascending reticular (6) activating system (the system which controls the function of waking consciousness) go out of balance and lose their proper circuiting.
Loss of Vital Energies: Humans, animals and plants located within a 500-meter radius of the equipment in operation suffer a long-term, cumulative loss of vital energies.
Nervous and Lymphatic Systems Damage: Long-lasting residual magnetic “deposits” become located through-out the nervous system and lymphatic system.
Hormonal Imbalances: The production of hormones and the maintenance of hormonal balance in both males and females becomes destabilized and interrupted.
Brainwave Disruption: Levels of disturbance in alpha, delta and theta wave signal patterns are markedly higher than normal.
Psychological Disorders: Because of the disarranged brain waves, negative psychological effects also result. These include loss of memory and the ability to concentrate, suppressed emotional threshold, deceleration of intellective processes and interruptive sleep episodes in a statistically higher percentage of individuals subjected to continual range-emission field effects of microwave apparatus, from either cooking apparatus or transmission stations.
POTENTIAL USE IN MIND CONTROL
Due to the creation of random, residual magnetic deposits and binding within the biological systems of the body (nervous and lymphatic systems damage) which can ultimately affect the neurological systems (primarily the brain and nerve centers), longer-term depolarization of tissue neuroelectronic circuits can result.
Because these effects can cause virtually irremissible damage to the neuroelectrical integrity of the various components of the nervous system (7), ingestion of microwaved foods is clearly contraindicated in all respects.
Their residual magnetism effect can render the psycho neural-receptor components of the brain more subject to influence by artificially induced, microwave-radio-frequency fields from transmission stations and TV relay networks.
Soviet neruopsychologists at Uralyera and Novosibirsk (8) have theorized the possibility of psycho telemetric influence (i.e., affecting human behaviour by transmitting radio signals at controlled frequencies), causing subjects to comply – involuntarily and subliminally – with commands received through microwave transmissions acting upon their psychological energy fields.
For this reason, and due to the 28 other contradictions listed above, the use of microwave apparatus in any form is definitely ill-advised. Present scientific opinion in many countries clearly opposes them, as exemplified by the mentioned Soviet Ban.

This is not new too me. I have read bits and pieces on this subject numerous times. This particular article was written 15 years ago. It is somewhat ironic when I think about the first portiion of the article and what it says about microwave cooking and how the body responds with fat. At the exact same time we have an ‘epidemic’ of obessity in North America going on. Could it be that it’s not the fast food industry to blame, but the fast food lifestyle right at home that has more to do with it?
Today I also had the opportunity to look at something that was done by a girl for a science fair project. These images were quite stunning. You better believe the same thing is going on in your stomach.

Below is a sience fair project that my granddaughter did for 2006. In it she took filered water and divided it into two parts. The first part she heated to boiling in a pan on the stove, and the second part she heated to boiling in a microwave. Then after cooling she used the water to water two identical plants to see if there would be any difference in the growth between the normal boiled water and the water boiled in a microwave. She was thinking that the structure or energy of the water may be compromised by microwave. As it turned out, even she was amazed at the difference.
Health NewsI have known for years that the problem with microwaved anything is not the radiation people used to worry about, It’s how it corrupts the DNA in the food so the body can not recognize it. So the body wraps it in fat cells to protect itself from the dead food or it eliminates it fast. Think of all the Mothers heating up milk in these “Safe” appliances. What about the nurse in Canada that warmed up blood for a transfusion patient and accidently killed them when the blood went in dead. But the makers say it’s safe. Never mind then, keep using them. Ask your Doctor I am sure they will say it’s safe too. Proof is in the pictures of living plants dying.

This is day 3 where I am in a ridiculous amount of pain. I think I have only myself to blame. For a long time I have regularly seen my chiropractor every 2 to 4 weeks for good maintenance. He always asked me how I felt it was helping me, and today I can say I know how. I woke up a few days back with just a minorly stiff neck. I thought it would just go away after I did my cardio that day. Afterwards though, it didn’t. As the day went on, it seemed to just keep getting worse. Next day I was petrified… I woke up now wanting to move because it was soooo painful. I was sporting massagers and heat packs all day and night. That night was even worse going to bed because nothing had changed.. next day it seemed like it was going away, then I wake up again petrified. Sooooo, I think now I realize that my visits to the chiropractor were doing much more good than I was giving credit. After doing a little lookup I find out that out of the 4 things that cause neck pain, I was doing two of them, almost everyday.
I guess I should plan to go see him on Monday so I can stop this craziness. I am so used to being in perfect health, it really makes me thankful that I don’t suffer the way I know many people out there do with chronic pain in some way or another. I know that working at the computer the way I do is the main culprit, but I can’t take time off… especially now. I can understand pain and suffering in trials and tribulations towards a worthy goal… but this seems really unnecessary.
Maybe God decided I needed some more… or maybe this is His way of saying ‘you dumbass, go see your chiropractor, you’re not bulletproof!’.
In case you are wondering, yes this is me, sporting the heatpack which has become a regular part of my daily clothing regiment lately. Hopefully it will be gone soon. ![]()
